Lighting for Universal Design
There are many issues and solutions surrounding Universally Designed lighting. The optical and neural changes in the aging eye makes it necesary to provide higher quantities of light that are shielded, balanced, and uniform. There are several architectural and interior design and decorating solutions for these issues. Other issues include energy-saving measures, the effect of different lighting technologies, and the use of color. A Universal Design Living Laboratory Project, was created by graduate students with the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institutein order to combat this problem.
