Atlantic Southeast Airlines Fined for Violating Rules Protecting Air Travelers with Disabilities

Atlantic Southeast Airlines were fined by the Department of Transportation for violating the rights of air travelers with disabilities. The Air Carrier Access Act of 1986 requires airlines to provide asistance to passengers with disabilities in boarding and exiting the plane.
A review and inspection of ASA'S airport operations to ensure they were in compliance with the Departments consumer protection requirements revealed a number of violations of consumer's rights.
