Universal Design Homes Continue to Grow as a Popular Approach in New Home Construction

The August 2006 Issue of Ultimate Home Design contains articles on universal design, including one that discusses the increasing trend of universally designed homes in the US. While universally designed homes are on the rise, it is still the case that most builders, designers, and remodelers are unaware and unfamiliar with universal design.
The general public is just as unfamilar with universal design, but some homeowners are coming to realize that universally designed homes can incorperate easy-living features that will benefit them now, as well as allow them to enjoy their home in the long-term.
