New ADA Mini-Golf Course Requirements

Close up of mini-golf hole, ball, and club. Seyfarth Shaw's ADA Title III News & Insights Blog recently posted an article highlighting some of the new ADA requirements regarding mini-golf courses. For the first time, the 2010 Standards include accessibility requirements for miniature golf courses. On June 7, 2012, the United States Access Board (“Access Board”) hosted a webinar to discuss these new accessibility requirements for miniature golf courses. Eden Anderson of Seyfarth Shaw's blog sat in on the webinar and reports on what issues were covered. Some topics explored in the article are providing accessibility for 50% of miniature golf holes, providing clear floor space at the teeing ground, and providing an accessible route through the course.
