Slide presentation, given by Ronald J. Tomasso, project architect and barrier-free accessibility specialist, reviewing federal accessibility laws and the State Department’s balancing of their applicability with the need for security in US diplomatic facilities.

The slide presentation also reviews federal laws and procurement rules, strategies for design relating to federal buildings, introduces the Department of State’s Barrier Free Accessibility Program and the Office of Overseas Building Operations (OBO), and cites examples of accessibility projects completed by the Department.
